No, I’m not here to debate who was better (we all know that was Frank!), but ironically Scholes has been praising a current Chelsea midfielder who has the ability to become the next Frank Lampard.
The former Manchester United midfielder was watching Chelsea’s defeat to Wolves on Tuesday night, and pleasantly he has decided to look at a potential positive, which is probably much needed by Chelsea fans after watching their team suffer their second defeat in a row.
As reported by Teamtalk, Scholes genuinely believes that Mason Mount has the ability and technique to become as good and influential as Lampard was during his Chelsea days.
He said: “Mason Mount, every time I see him I am really impressed with him. I think he could become like a Frank Lampard. I think he has got the ability and the technique to really win games for Chelsea.
“Mason has got his manager, there, to fall back on and has nobody better to learn from. He should be winning games for Chelsea.
