For the first time, Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, has discussed the club’s desire to acquire Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
At Borussia Dortmund, where the striker scored 79 goals for the Bundesliga team, Tuchel had worked with Aubameyang.
When asked about the possibility of signing the former Arsenal captain, Tuchel told reporters on Friday: “I would be interested in the 79 goals actually.
“But I will not comment on Auba to Chelsea links.”
The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new frontman after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal.
Timo Werner is also rumoured to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge and could return to RB Leipzig.
