“I was a little bit surprised, he used him wrongly”  – Jody Morris reveals how Tuchel used Chelsea player wrongly against Man Utd

Former Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris has claimed Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel used Christian Pulisic wrongly in 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

However, Pulisic came off the bench as the Blues chased for a winner with Tuchel playing the American international as a right wing-back.

Morris was surprised Pulisic was played as a wing-back with Chelsea pushing for a goal and believes the American should have been played in the front three due to his ability to score goals.

Jody Morris said: “I was a little surprised he came on as a wing-back because when you were looking for a goal, if there is anyone who’s going to get you a little tap-in in the six-yard box when there’s crosses coming in – not only are you bringing on Lukaku – I felt Pulisic could maybe have been one of those who could’ve been closer to the goal rather than at wing-back.”
