“I would say so, because we are Chelsea” – Alonso finally reveals when Chelsea will win the league
The Blues last won the league in 2016-17 season under Thomas Tuchel. Since then Manchester City and Liverpool have dominated the league.
However, Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has backed Chelsea to win the league next season, as he believes Chelsea now has what it takes to compete against Manchester City and Liverpool.
He told Sky Sports: “I would say so.
“We saw a few years back when we won the last one and we have been competing against these teams.
“I think we are capable of winning anything against any team and we just need to improve a little bit in this consistency during the whole season. We’ll try to be a little bit closer for next season.”
