‘If I’m him, I will go to Chelsea and win trophies’ – Danny Murphy tells £100m Chelsea transfer target

According to several reports, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Chelsea at the end of the season.

However, The 23-year-old was offered a new mouth-watering contract by West Ham, but he opted against signing the deal, as he seeks a move away from West Ham this summer.

West Ham aren’t keen on losing Rice, but former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has told the young midfielder to leave and play in a club capable of winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Murphy believes Rice should not patiently wait for a big money move, as he told talkSPORT: “If I’m him, I’m going.

“Are you going to deprive yourself of another season not being able to win the Premier League and the Champions League?

“West Ham fans will get frustrated with people saying it constantly because they’ve had it before.”

If Rice forces a move away from West Ham, the Hammers would ask for big money.

David Moyes has claimed Rice is now worth more than £100m, and figures around £150m are being tagged with the former Chelsea starlet.
