‘If they want to win the league these two must get back to form’ – Ian Wright says of two Chelsea players

Chelsea’s disappointing draw against Everton has ensured that Thomas Tuchel’s men are now four points behind leaders, Manchester City, and this doesn’t tell well for the European champions if they are to win the Premier League this season.

However, The Blues had been top of the league for 9 weeks, but the Blues were knocked off their perch by Manchester City last weekend, with Liverpool closely following in second.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes that Chelsea are still in shot of the title, but has claimed that the Blues must have strikers Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku firing again if they want to claim the title in May.

“Chelsea are way up there [to win the league], but it’s not going to happen unless [Romelu] Lukaku can get that form back, and Werner as well can kick himself in and start scoring and finishing off chances… He’s (Werner) still got a massive role to play at Chelsea without a shadow of a doubt,” he said on The Kelly and Wright Show.

Lukaku and Werner were both injured at one time, and their form has been called into question by critics. For Lukaku, he started the season in bright form, but the goals have since dried up, with injury not also helping his cause.
