(Image): Chelsea sponsorship announce incoming new Chelsea owner as a ‘done deal’
It appears like the Chelsea acquisition is about to be officially confirmed, at least according to one of the club’s sponsors.
Trivago’s newest tweet appears to indicate that the new ownership takeover has been completed, driving social media into a frenzy!
Of course, there were reports yesterday that it wasn’t finished yet, and that it was even in doubt. I never trusted any of it, and I’m more inclined to believe the Trivago tweet.
It feels like we’re getting pretty close now, and all we need now is a formal statement from Chelsea.
It has to be completed before the end of this month, when Chelsea’s special operating license expires, so you should expect to hear the formal announcement soon. Until then, I’m sticking with Trivago and figuring it’s all over!!
