‘Is time to let him go’, ‘he has no right to demand such amount’ – Former Chelsea player advise club to let Chelsea star leave after turning down contract offer

Despite his greatness, N’Golo Kante should quit Chelsea, according to a former Blue.

Scott Minto, a former Chelsea left-back, has advised the club to release midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The 31-year-old France international has had trouble with injuries over the past two years, and he has just recently recovered from a muscle issue.

Kante has less than a year left on his contract with Chelsea and recently rejected a club offer.

However, According to reports, Kante turned down Chelsea’s offer of two years with the option of a third, as he wants a four year contract which was also given to 31-year-old Kalidou Koulibaly.

Nevertheless, former Blue Minto has told Chelsea that it’s time to let Kante leave the club if he won’t take the current offer.

Quizzed about what Chelsea should do about Kante, Minto told talkSPORT: ‘He’s 31, he’s a superb player and when he’s fit I still don’t think there’s anyone better.

“You go back to that Tottenham game where Chelsea outplayed Spurs and Spurs nicked it, he was absolutely superb.

“But one, he’s not always fit, and two, when you’re the wrong side of 30, I don’t think you can ask for four-year contracts. You simply can’t, you get a two-year at best.

“So if he’s demanding that and it’s that or nothing, then I think Chelsea have to let him go.”
