‘It was a floated ball in, he should have scored’ – Karen Carney reveals why Chelsea player should have make it 2-1 in Man Utd clash

The Blues could only settle for a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening,.

However, Chelsea could have make it 2-1 following Rudger’s last minute miss, with the game at its final moment, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger had a good chance to score a goal, but the German smashed his volley way over the bar, and his reaction showed he was gutted.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea midfielder Karen Carney believes Rudiger should have struck that ball on target, and she said that he had enough time to have done better.

‘It was a floated ball in, Antonio Rudiger had too much time, he almost connected with it too well. She said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

“He’s gutted, he’s still got his hands on his head and he knows how big of a moment that is.

“As a player, you know you can score, but the game slows down when you have that much time and Rudiger’s just put his foot through it.”
