‘It’s a slap in the face’: Tuchel reacted to latest Antonio Rudiger’s contract situation at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea, however, this has left Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel worried as he wants the German star to remain at Stamford Bridge following his recent outstanding form.

During the press conference this afternoon, Thomas Tuchel has reacted to Antonio Rudiger’s contract situation at Chelsea. “It’s pretty clear what we want. It isn’t always the way that the club and coach want something and it will happen,”

“Things can be delayed, take their time but I am sure Toni feels respected and what an important role he plays at this club.”

Antonio Rudiger’s current deal with Chelsea expires in June, and it does not look like the sides are close to reaching an agreement.

According to the latest report, the centre-back felt that the last offer from the club was like ‘a slap in the face’.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG are rumoured to be in the race for the German who will be able to start talking to foreign clubs in January.
