Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that Andreas Christensen will leave the club, amid reports that the defender is likely to join Barcelona.

Since 2013, the Danish international has been with the Blues. However, with his contract set to expire this summer, the 26-year-old appears to have played his final game for the club.

Christensen has made 32 appearances for Chelsea this season, despite a severe drop in form in recent weeks. His start against Leeds United in the Blues’ most recent Premier League match was his first in six games in the top tier.

Tuchel has confirmed that the defender will leave Stamford Bridge this summer to join Barcelona, according to Italian transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.

The deal to bring Christensen to the Camp Nou was agreed to ‘weeks ago,’ according to Romano, who also claimed that AC Milan midfielder Frank Kessie will join Catalonia on a free transfer.

The move is another another setback for Chelsea, as Antonio Rudiger has already stated that he would join Real Madrid when his current contract expires in June.
