“It’s cheap, he’s an absolute monster” – Abramovich told to sign £100million player this summer

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been urged to open his chequebook and sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer.

This is according to former Chelsea player Jason Cundy, who thinks £100million for the 20 year old striker is cheap.

Haaland became the quickest player to reach 20 Champions League goals – reaching that tally in just 14 games – after his double sent Sevilla crashing out of the competition on Tuesday night.

Haaland has scored an astonishing 47 goals in 47 games since joining Borussia Dortmund and has a release clause of £68million in his contract which becomes active next summer.

“I know it’s ridiculous saying this, but you could get Haaland quite cheap [this summer],” Cundy told talkSPORT. “I think Dortmund might be tempted at £100million.

“That’s double and above what they’re going to get next year [when his release clause becomes active].

“You’re probably going to get him at £120million.

“From what I’ve seen I don’t think there’s too many systems he can’t be effective in.

“He’s got a little bit of everything, he’s an absolute monster.”
