Joe Cole reveals one big problem Graham Potter’s is lacking after Chelsea 1-1 draw against Salzburg
Graham Potter managed Chelsea for the first game since being named manager, and the match against RB Salzburg finished in a 1-1 draw.
Chelsea played admirably under Potter, and the Blues were unfortunate to come away from this match with just one point.
When reflecting on the game, former Chelsea winger Joe Cole was complimentary of Chelsea’s debut performance under Potter but also acknowledged that the team lacked confidence.
According to Cole, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic look short of confidence, while young striker Armando Broja is still nervous.
Joe Cole said on BT Sport: “There’s a collection of players in this squad who are not in their best confidence.
“Confidence is something you’ve got to build up. Work hard in training, do the right things, it will come back.
“Ziyech is one of them, Pulisic another one not at their very best form. Broja is a young lad who’s going to be nervous, it’s a big step up from Southampton.”
