Jose Mourinho and his players were caught training in a London park as the Tottenham manager decided to run a small training session with multiple members of his Spurs squad, including record signing Tanguy Ndombele, at Hadley Common in Barnet.
This decision goes against UK government lockdown rule which permits exercising, but only with members of your household.
Mourinho issued an apology after he was caught, but Good Morning Britain hosts and top Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan, has slammed the Spurs players and Jose Mourinho for breaking the government’s guidance by ignoring social distancing protocols while training outdoors.
Morgan said during Wednesday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain: “On a less positive note, we have found more idiots, I’m afraid. What are you thinking José? What are you thinking players?
“Tottenham, at the moment, quite rightly, getting vilified as a club for the decision taken by their billionaire owner Joe Lewis and their chief executive Daniel Levy to furlough staff when they’ve got gazillions to spend on players.
“And now we see the players and the manager having an unofficial training session, apparently not sanctioned by the club.”
