Just in: Marina told to pay £100million to land Tuchel favourite player

Chelsea have been reportedly told that it would take an offer in excess of £100million to take Declan Rice away from West Ham next summer.

Rice is keen on returning to Chelsea as he wants to play Champions League football and has rejected two offers to extend his contract at West Ham.

According to Football London via Daily Mail, West Ham are yet to receive a bid for the Englishman however £100m is the minimum offer that they would accept which would match the amount that Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is known to be a big admirer of Rice and it is believed the West Ham midfielder will be ideal for Chelsea’s 3-4-3 system.

Chelsea aren’t the only club interested in signing the West Ham midfielder. Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested.

Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was also interested in signing Rice and he confirmed it earlier this year.

Lampard said: “We are fortunate to have him in England, West Ham are fortunate to have him.

“He’s a leader and it is clear that he’s destined for great things. I have probably given it away with how I spoke about him but I think it’s common knowledge that I was a big fan of his.

“It didn’t happen for various reasons, but we brought in a lot of players in the summer.

“But I was a big fan of him. For understandable reasons, West Ham know the player that they have on their hands.”
