Just in: Real Madrid makes Antonio Rudiger’s transfer decision as Tuchel reacted

According to latest reports from Spain, Real Madrid are longer interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

Rudiger, 28, recently entered the final six months of his current Stamford Bridge deal and does not appear close to an extension, having rejected an offer worth £140,000 per week from the Blues.

His representatives have reportedly held talks with Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid over a potential free transfer next summer.

Real Madrid were believed to be leading the race to sign Rudiger as a free agent at the end of the season but according to Marca via Daily Mail, talks between Rudiger’s representatives and Real Madrid have failed to progress.

The report claims Rudiger is demanding for £200,000 per week to join Real Madrid but the Spanish side aren’t willing to meet his demands.

Real Madrid reportedly believe they have the best defensive partnership in David Alaba and Eder Militao and won’t push for the signing of Rudiger.

However,, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed the Blues are still in talks with Rudiger over extending his contract.

Tuchel said: “I cannot predict the future and I don’t know if his representatives are talking to other clubs or not.

“Of course, it is possible they are right now [talking to other clubs] as it is January and he hasn’t signed a new contract with us yet but we are in communication with him, the club is in dialogue with his people.

“Toni is very aware of what I demand from him and how much I appreciate him. The level on which he is playing is outstanding.

“The point on Toni from my side is very clear, my opinion is clear and the club is trying their very best with him.”
