The 22 year old Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is set to stay at Chelsea this season after impressing Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Chalobah followed a strong pre-season by scoring a spectacular goal in the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace last Saturday.
The Blues are discussing a new contract for the 22-year-old defender.
Meanwhile, Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri has joined French club Lyon on loan for the rest of the season.
Emerson, who was part of Italy’s Euro 2020 winning squad, came off the bench in the Premier League opener against Crystal Palace, which was his 71st Chelsea appearance.
