Juventus agree €70m player to join Chelsea, Blues eager to sign 6 ft 1 in Uruguayan defensive rock, as Brazilian star keen on leaving Madrid for Chelsea

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Paulo Dybala this summer and the Italian side aren’t opposed to the transfer.

According to reports from Italy, Juventus want to sell Dybala this summer amid interest from Chelsea due to his huge salary.

Juventus are struggling financially due to the coronavirus pandemic and announced a loss of £99million for the first six months of 2020-21.

Reports in Italy claim Juventus would sell at least six first team players to raise around £85m this summer, and it has also been reported that they will be forced to sell either Dybala or Cristiano Ronaldo due to their huge salaries.

Brazilian keen on leaving Real Madrid. Should Chelsea make a move?

According to Goal, Real Madrid defender Eder Militao is reportedly considering a summer transfer.

Madrid spent €50 million (£43m/$60m) to bring Militao to Santiago Bernabeu from Porto in the summer of 2019, but he is still behind Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane in the squad pecking order after two seasons in the Spanish capital.

The centre-half, who can also operate as a right-back or defensive midfielder, is worried that a lack of regular minutes could affect his chances of featuring for Brazil at the World Cup in 2022.

The Brazil international has featured in just 10 games so far in 2020-21, but has also been unavailable for a total of 11 matches due to a combination of injuries and a positive Covid-19 test.

German club Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the 23 year old Brazilian.

Should Chelsea sign the Real Madrid defender?

Blues eager to sign 6 ft 1 in Uruguayan defensive rock

Atletico Madrid will listen to offers for defender Jose Maria Gimenez this summer. The report claims that La Liga giants will be looking to freshen up their squad in the summer, but to do so, one or two crucial footballers may need to be sacrificed to bring in the necessary funds.

Uruguay international, who has been a key figure in Diego Simeone’s back-line for several years now, is thought to be one man who should be shipped on to bankroll Atletico Madrid’s reinvigoration.

Considering how difficult it is to acquire top-class defenders at current, you get the impression that, were Gimenez legitimately on the market, there would be no shortage of interest in signing him.

Man United and Man City previously showed interest, but Blues are now the most likely PL side to make a move to sign him. There is no exact figure mentioned in the report for what any interested party would have to pay to sign the South American defender, but it’s hard to imagine La Liga giants letting him go on the cheap.

Two big names tipped to move on are defender Jose Gimenez and midfielder Saul Niguez. Although Jose leaving would be a shock, it could perhaps be explained by the fact his deal ends in two years time, however, Saul’s current contract is not ready to expire until 2026.

Both footballers have long been linked with a move to the PL, with Uruguay international rumoured to be a target for Chelsea and Niguez continually linked to Man United. Atletico Madrid are currently top of La Liga table, one point clear of Real Madrid.
