Real Madrid coach Zidane sends massive message to Chelsea ahead of UCL Semi final clash
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane praised the performance of Thibaut Courtois for their 0-0 draw at Liverpool.
Real are into the Champions League semifinals 3-1 on aggregate.
Zidane said, “He’s our goalkeeper and he’s playing brilliantly. It’s so important to have a keeper with that assuredness, it’s something he’s always given us. He’s doing a fantastic job.
“The players always want more and the team always shows that character. When there are difficulties, they’re more united and want to step up. We have immense quality, but the key is the character of the players.”
Real Madrid will meet Chelsea in the semifinals.
But Zidane added, “We’re going to enjoy today’s result. Then we have a lot of league matches. Chelsea are a very good side. The further we go in the competition, the more difficult the games become.”
