Lampard drops massive team news hint ahead of FA Cup clash with Leicester City

Chelsea only recently defeated Manchester City 2-1 on Thursday night, in what was an intense game at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will return to action on Sunday afternoon, for an FA Cup fifth round tie against Leicester City, before facing West Ham in a Premier League fixture on Wednesday.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has now admitted that he’d be forced to rotate his side for the game against Leicester City.

“We will certainly have to think about if we need to rotate a bit to keep freshness in the players,” Lampard said ahead of the game.

“It’s nice I can call upon players, particularly in certain areas of the pitch. We are not overloaded in every area, and that’s where we will address it at the end of the season, but in terms of what’s in front of us now, we will need that quality we have.

“We are fortunate to have a few players fit that weren’t so much before lockdown. I will be wanting something from pretty much everyone in the squad. It’s important the players who didn’t start against City or Villa stay fit, stay fresh and ready to come in because we are going to need a lot.”

There might be starts for the likes of Jorginho, Billy Gilmour, Tammy Abraham, Kurt Zouma, Willy Caballero, Reece James, Emerson Palmieri and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who havent’s had much game time since the season resumed.
