Chelsea have completed the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig and the Blues are reportedly keen on adding Havertz to the squad.
However, Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz is also a top transfer target for the Blues.
The Blues are likely to face stiff competitions from other suitors, including Real Madrid.
Amid Chelsea’s interest in the 21 year old attacking midfielder, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hailed Havertz as a top player.
Recent reports had suggested Chelsea have submitted a bid for the attacking midfielder but Lampard insists the Blues are yet to submit a bid for Havertz.
Lampard said: “He is obviously a top player but we are not going to comment on players of other teams. No bids have gone in yet.”
Havertz has enjoyed a wonderful season with Leverkusen, scoring 16 goals and supplying nine assists across all competitions.
