Lampard ready to sell Jorginho to fund move for £60m-rated Premier League star

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is ready to sell Jorginho to fund a move for Premier League midfielder Declan Rice.

Lampard is keen on signing West Ham United defender Declan Rice, who will reportedly cost the Blues at least £60 million.

The Chelsea board has reportedly told Lampard that he must sell players before signing new players this summer after the club completed the transfers of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

The report also claims that Jorginho’s sale could even be used to fund the transfer of Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez, with Lampard keen on strengthening Chelsea’s defence.

Meanwhile, Jorginho’s agent has previously revealed the midfielder could leave Stamford Bridge this summer if Juventus submits an appealing offer.

Jorginho’s agent Jorge Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: “I know Fabio Paratici [the sporting director] well, but he never called me.

“(Maurizio) Sarri probably thinks he needs a player like Jorginho, but I don’t know what Juventus’ plan will be. If the Bianconeri and Chelsea agree, then we will assess.”
