Lampard reveals why he dropped in-form Giroud for Abraham against West Ham

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard dropped in-form Olivier Giroud for Tammy Abraham for the game against West Ham.

The France international had scored seven goals in as many games for the Blues before the game against West Ham.

Explaining his decision to drop Giroud and play Abraham instead, Lampard told Sky Sports: “It’s just a rotation and looking at different attributes of players against opposition.

“I’ve got choices to make and whichever ones I make there’s probably a good case for others.

“With Tammy, some energy in the team from the front.

“Oli has been fantastic and Oli can obviously come in off the bench as well, I’ve got choices there pretty much every week in terms of those two.”
