Lampard reveals why he’s not happy with Hakim Ziyech’s injury

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been enjoying a fully fit squad since the past two weeks, but all that changed when Hakim Ziyech suffered a hamstring injury against Leeds United.

With just 30 minutes into the game, Ziyech who has been a key player for the Blues, had to leave the pitch due to hamstring problem.

As we enter a very hectic part of the season, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he is disappointed to see Ziyech injured.

Speaking after the game, Lampard revealed his disappointment with the injury at this stage of the season, but couldn’t ascertain the degree of the injury at the time.

Lampard said immediately after the match: “It is a hamstring injury which we will find out the severity of in the next couple of days.

“It is obviously a disappointment going into this busy period.”

Ziyech has been a top player this season, and has formed a good partnership with Reece James on the right flank. Hopefully, he won’t be out for so long.
