Caballero: Had some jittery moments, but did enough to secure a clean sheet for his side. 6/10

Reece James: Struggled in the first half as he couldn’t cope with Leicester City’s press. Had to be subbed off at half-time. 5/10

Rudiger: Ensured Jamie Vardy was frustrated in the first-half as he handled the Englishman with ease. 7/10

Zouma: Looked a bit rusty at times with some poor passes and sloppy plays. But he got better in the second half as play progressed. 6.5/10

Emerson Palmieri: Another player that looked really rusty. Struggled in the first half, improved in the second period, but it still wasn’t a commanding performance. 5/10

Kante: Struggled to cope with Leicester City’s play in the first half and some of his passes were shabby at times. His second half display was much better. 6/10

Gilmour: Couldn’t continue from where he left off before the season’s suspension. Misplaced the ball too many times today. Had to be subbed off at half-time. 4/10

Mount: Another player who had to be chopped off at half-time due to the lack of cohesion in midfield. 5/10

Pulisic: Despite Chelsea’s lack of fluidity in the first-half, he was one player that kept at it. He troubled Leicester City’s defence with every touch of the ball. Forced Schmeichel with a good save. 7/10

Willian: Struggled in the first-half. Got better in the second half but had some on and off moments. Did well with the assist for the goal. 6/10

Tammy Abraham: Lacked service in the first-half, but got better in the second period. Looked a bit rusty at times. 6/10

Subs: Azpilicueta: Added intensity to the team after coming on in the second half. Good game. 7/10

Barkley: Made an impact after coming on. Scored the much needed goal. Could have added another goal. 7/10

Kovacic: Was among the three half-time subs, and he did really well as he brought impetus to the team’s midfield. 7/10

Loftus-Cheek: Did okay but still a bit far from match fitness. 5/10

Pedro: Came on for Willian with 13 minutes left of play. 4/10
