Long-term Chelsea target heading to the Premier League? after officially leaving current club

Former Chelsea target Hulk has officially left Shanghai SIPG four years after first joining – and could now move to the Premier League on a free transfer.

There was a point back in 2012 that Hulk was one of the most sought after players in the game after impressing over the Portuguese League with Porto and was being chased by some of the games biggest and best clubs.

However, Despite the big transfer interest and the opportunity to play at the very highest level of the game, Hulk made the strange decision to swap Porto for a mega money offer from Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg, and interest from big clubs seemingly went away.

The 34-year-old striker moved to the Chinese Super League in 2016 after deciding to step away from top level football and take the massive pay-day that a move to China offers players like him these days.

But he did not renew his contract at Shanghai SIPG and has now left the club, meaning that he will be free for clubs to pick up when the transfer window opens up on just a few weeks time.

And Hulk has revealed that he has been receiving many offers to come back to top-level European football, Hulk claimed on the SUN: “I am listening to many proposals from Brazil and many places including in Europe.

“[I have offers from] Turkey, Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, Germany – and I also have an offer from China.

“Every day more new proposals arrive.”

It will be very interesting to see just where Hulk ends up as he could have been one of the very best players in the game. So even though Chelsea were linked in the past, they will surely not be a club that will make a transfer offer?
