According to reports, Declan Rice of West Ham has been linked with transfers to Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

However, Manchester United, on the other hand, is expected to heavily back new manager Erik ten Hag in the transfer market this summer as the club looks to reclaim its former glory.

According to ESPN, Manchester United is planning to sign Declan Rice from West Ham this summer, breaking the British transfer record.

Last summer, Manchester City spent a British transfer record of £100 million for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, and signing Rice, who is valued at roughly £150 million by West Ham, may break that mark.

The Europa League semi-finalists are under no obligation to let him go because he has two years left on his contract at the London Stadium, and West Ham has the option to extend it for another 12 months.

Rice, according to Chelsea icon John Terry, “loves Chelsea” and would welcome a return to the club as a 23-year-old.

“I’m going to get in trouble here for what I say!” Terry recently told Astro SuperSport.

“You know what, I think everyone knows how much Dec loves Chelsea.”

“I believe Chelsea’s rejection aided his career.” He’s accomplished a lot at West Ham.

“We witnessed in the FA Cup [against Kidderminster Harriers in February], when he came on and scored, and took the game by the scruff of the neck once more.”

“I believe Dec has given everything to West Ham from his perspective.”

“And from the outside, I believe he has a decision to make until West Ham make a major statement in the summer and spend £100 million or more and say, ‘We want to keep Dec and bring in quality players like you.’

“I believe it will be difficult for him to walk away if West Ham go out and spend a lot of money and bring in good players.”
