Marina Granovskaia exit has ‘changed £55m deal’ at Chelsea – report

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Jules Kounde had personal terms agreed u on “a few months ago,” but “the situation changed” as a result of Marina Granovskaia leaving Stamford Bridge.

Shortly after Todd Boehly completed his £4.25 billion ownership of the club, Granovskaia, who oversaw the west Londoners’ transfer negotiations under Roman Abramovich, quit.

However, The Sun reports that Thomas Tuchel, the head coach of Chelsea, will finally get his wish after reaching a £55 million deal with Sevilla.

According to the article, the 11-cap France international will have a physical soon and is hoping to join the Blues in the latter days of their preseason tour of the United States.

Following the acquisitions of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly from Manchester City and Napoli, respectively, this summer, Tuchel said he is keen to bring in more young players to his side.

Chelsea and Kounde have already reached a personal agreement, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs, who previously spoke with GIVEMESPORT.

With Barcelona showing increased interest, that would seem to place the Premier League heavyweights in the driver’s seat.

When Granovskaia was negotiating contracts with prospective recruits during her final months at the club, Romano understands Chelsea satisfied Kounde’s demands.

The transfer expert, however, thinks that Kounde’s exit from Stamford Bridge and Barcelona’s entry into the fight for his or her services have complicated matters.

When asked whether personal terms have already been agreed, Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “It was the case a few months ago. It was in April or May, when Marina Granovskaia was still in charge at Chelsea.

“But then they changed the board and the situation changed because Barcelona jumped into it, thanks to Xavi and his relationship with Jorge Mendes, who is taking care of this potential deal.”
