“Medicals soon” – Chelsea to announce first new summer signing after player agrees Chelsea move
Chelsea will soon make public their first acquisition of the summer, and Blues supporters will be hoping it serves as the catalyst for other signings.
Raheem Sterling will soon have his Chelsea physical before signing a contract with the team through 2027 with a season-long extension option.
According to Fabrizio Romano below, Sterling will have his medicals in London this week, allowing him to travel to America with the Chelsea team for the preseason tour.
However, Sterling has been vacationing in Jamaica, so it makes sense to believe that his trip is coming to an end and that he will be heading back to London this week.
This will be the first official arrival for the men’s team under the new ownership of Todd Boehly and company as well as Chelsea’s first signing of the summer. More are on their way to Stamford Bridge, and others are being worked on.
