Mendy sends ‘strong message’ to Chelsea teammates ahead of West Ham clash
Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy has sent a strong message to his Chelsea teammates after two consecutive defeats that have seen them slip down the table to the seventh place.
The Blues have been tipped to give Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham a run for their money this season but things have not been going according to plan for the past two weeks.
The Premier league giants disappointing result at Goodison Park was a bitter end to their 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions, but the following loss against Wolves must have been a big hit to the Blues confidence.
As the Blues get set for another thrilling affair against fellow London club, West Ham, Mendy urged his Chelsea teammates to bounce back from the two disappointing result.
The goalkeeper wrote on Instagram: “Let’s continue to work hard and get back to our early season results.”
Mendy has been working hard on the training pitch ever since he made the switch from Rennes and the result of the trainings have been obvious in his performance during matches.
However, the Senegalese International has not been able to keep a clean sheet in his last three Premier League matches and will be eager to keep one against West Ham.
