Negotiation On: PSG player hold talks with Chelsea

According to Daily Express, PSG left-back Layvin Kurzaw has held talks with Chelsea officials over a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 27 year old will leave PSG this summer when his contract expires and has also been linked with a move to London rivals Arsenal, with some reports even claiming the Gunners have agreed a five year deal with the left-back.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has urged the Blues to focus on defensive reinforcements this summer.

“It’s all great going forward, my worry is defensively,” he said. “Chelsea – what we’ve seen under Frank Lampard – are at their best going forward.

“Because of having such a young squad, and certainly a young strike force, when they’re not at it they’ve lost goals.

“It’s fantastic for the fans to see exciting players being signed. But at some point, Frank has to at some point start thinking about what he’s going to do defensively.

“Azpilicueta has still got some more miles in him. If they sign Chilwell, he’s a good defender. But they need a centre-back.”
