Next up for Lamps! Brilliant £70 million midfielder to follow Timo Werner to Chelsea this summer!

Chelsea are set to follow up the signing of Timo Werner by making a £70m swoop for Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz.

According to the Sun, Havertz is Frank Lampard’s latest target having already bought Hakim Ziyech to Stamford Bridge and with Timo Werner expected to follow in a £53m deal.

It is believed that Lampard wants to build a side that is more than capable of competing for that Premier League title, and Havertz would be seen as the icing on the cake for the Blues, ahead of next season.

Former Liverpool and Germany midfielder Hamann, now a pundit with Sky Germany, said he expected the 20-year-old to move on this summer, He said: “I think a lot of Premier League clubs will be interested in him, he’s a terrific player and there’s not many better around at the moment.

“Before the break people were talking about three figures, a hundred-odd million, if that’s a price any club is prepared to pay in the summer, I’m not sure, but the likelihood is he will leave Leverkusen and take on another challenge in the summer.”

Look, if Havertz does leave the Bundesliga side in the summer, then the Premier League would love to welcome the man to the club as he is just the type of exciting player that English fans will love to see on a weekly basis.

If he comes onto the market there will be alot of interest and it will be very interesting to see how much he goes for and which club he joins, as they step up is inevitable.
