Number 1 Chelsea source confirms Luiz to Arsenal story

The Telegraph’s Matt Law who is considered a top source about all things Chelsea has confirmed the reports that David Luiz has tried to force a move to Arsenal.

L’Equipe has broken the news earlier claiming that the Brazilian defender has refused to train with the Blues and wants to join the North London rivals.

The 32-year-old has only signed a new two-year deal with Chelsea this spring. He was a key part of the team under Maurizio Sarri, but little has suggested that he is unhappy at the club now.

As per reports from France, I’m told David Luiz refused to train with Chelsea today and wants to move to Arsenal. I don’t think Arsenal have made a formal bid yet

However, Law’s story suggests there have been several ‘fall-outs in the background surrounding’ the Brazilian.

The Telegraph’s journalist has mentioned that Luiz could reunite with Unai Emeri after they worked together at PSG.

Another factor could be Kia Joorabchian, an influential agent who has links both with the centre-back and Arsenal’s new sporting director Edu.

As per L’Equipe, the original source, Luiz is already in ‘advanced contacts’ with Arsenal who are in a desperate need for a defender.
