Chelsea’s latest signing Hakim Ziyech has been named Ajax’s Player of the Year in his last season at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
The 27-year-old has been the main star of his team both in the domestic competitions and the Champions League. As a result, he won this award for the third time in a row.
In 35 games across all competitions, the Morocco international has scored 9 goals and provided 18 assists.
The attacking midfielder graduated from the Heerenveen academy aged 19 to make his debut for the senior team in August 2012.
After 2 years with his boyhood club, he moved to Twente to play 2 more years there before joining Ajax in 2016 for a reported fee of €11m, where he became a world-class star.
In February, Chelsea confirmed Ziyech’s signing for a reported transfer fee of €40m (potentially increasing to €44m).
