Oscar reveals why he ‘Wants’ Chelsea return

Oscar joined Chelsea from Internacional in July 2012 as a highly rated wonderkid and spent four and a half seasons at the club.

Oscar left Chelsea in December 2016 for Shanghai SIPG for a reported fee of £60m, and has been a massive player in the Chinese Super League.

Oscar has now revealed that he’d like to return to Europe and admitted that his first choice will be to return to Chelsea.

“I really want to go back to Europe. Not now. At the moment I’m well here in China, I still have my contract here, which I hope to fulfil,” former Chelsea midfielder Oscar told Fox Sports Brazil.

“Of course the first club I’d choose if I could go back to Europe is Chelsea, for sure, which is the club that I built a very beautiful history with.

“And when I was a child I watched the Italian league a lot because there were many Brazilians there. So there are some teams from Italy that I like a lot, like Inter, Milan. So I’d think about going to the Italian league if I return one day.”

Oscar was well loved by the Chelsea fans and made 203 appearances for the Blues, scoring 38 goals and provided 37 assists in those games. The Brazilian won 4 major trophies, including 2 Premier League titles and a Europa League trophy.
