Pep Guardiola reacted after Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, and other rivals writes petition to ban Haaland from Premier League

Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, responded to the popular internet petitions to ban Erling Haaland that were started by supporters of rival teams.

Guardiola responded by laughing it off.

Haaland, who transferred from German club Borussia Dortmund to Man City during the summer transfer window, has so far scored 19 goals in 12 games.

In just eight Premier League games, he has scored 19 goals, including three hat tricks. His third hat trick came in the Citizens’ 6-3 victory over Manchester United last Sunday.

In a 5-0 Champions League victory over Copenhagen on Wednesday, Haaland added two more goals.

However, Following Haaland’s impressive form for Man City, at least two online petitions have surfaced in the past week, calling for the striker to be banned from English football because his presence is simply not fair on the other teams.

Guardiola laughed off the attempt at his press conference on Friday ahead of the weekend visit of Southampton.

“Yeah, it’s a joke,” said a smiling Guardiola, “it’s a joke, it’s good.”
