Possible £40M Chelsea signing ‘will be good addition’ and great Sterling partner

Fans have been informed that Allan Saint-Maximin and Raheem Sterling could combine to make a potent assault for Chelsea next season.

The winger joined the team in 2019 after leaving Nice, and he has since developed into one of the most thrilling, talented, and infuriating players that supporters get to see on a regular basis.

But he has played a significant role in Newcastle’s decision to remain in the Premier League for the upcoming season, and reports claim that Chelsea is prepared to make a cheeky offer in the summer as a result of his recent performances.

However, The Blues have long liked the Frenchman and have made attempts to get him away from the Toon in prior transfer windows, but both the player and the club have turned them down.

ASM recently stated that he has no plans to leave the club, but it appears that this has not deterred Chelsea from expressing interest in completing a transfer.

And pundit Frank McVennie revealed to fans that ASM and the England international may create a potent combo at Chelsea after Chelsea previously in the window secured the arrival of Raheem Sterling.

McAvennie told Football Insider: “I don’t think he’ll want to go.

“Chelsea is a huge club, Newcastle are not yet but they’re going to be. It’s whether or not he wants to stay and be part of that build.

“He’s the one player I’d have kept because they were hopeless until Eddie Howe came in.

“For £40m he’d be a good addition. Him and [Raheem] Sterling playing up front, that would be interesting. They’d score lots of goals that’s for sure.“
