Real Madrid eye Chelsea midfielder for a £30m transfer fee

Chelsea has been a dominant figure in signing new recruits. Real Madrid has not made a single signing so far. But the Spanish champions seem to be eyeing a Chelsea midfielder lately. El Gol Digital reports that Zinedine Zidane has approved Real to approach Chelsea to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Frenchman was away on loan at AS Monaco last season. He made a return to Stamford Bridge hoping to gain a place in Lampard’s lineup.

But with Chelsea having a great summer transfer. A lot of fresh faces have made the cut to first-team hard. Also, Bakayoko is not a favorite of gaffer Frank Lampard. Hence, Chelsea has been keen to ship him off to regain some funds after an expensive summer buyout.

AC Milan was in initial contact with Chelsea over the signing of Bakayoko. Having spent a loan spell at Milan before, they were hoping to sign him to remedy their midfield issues. But Chelsea’s asking price has made the process slow and reports claim Milan are eye other less expensive stars.

Besides Milan, Real Madrid also seems keen to sign him. Real Madrid are looking forward to placing £30m on the France international. El Gol Digital claims that Los Blancos will make contact with Blues in the coming days.

Chelsea will be happy to consider any genuine interest. But will also demand a sum they value the player at. If the Blues meet terms with Los Blancos Bakayoko may fly to Spain before the window closes.
