Real Madrid star wants Chelsea move after holding £22 million ‘advanced talks’ with the Blues

Left-back is one area Lampard is keen on strengthening this summer and with Leicester City demanding an outrageous amount for Ben Chilwell, the Blues have reportedly turned attention to other targets.

According to ESPN, the Blues are in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid over the signing of left-back Sergio Reguilon. Rather than spend close to £80million to sign Chilwell, €25m (£22.5m) could be enough to clinch the signature of Reguilon.

The 23 year old spent the season on loan at Sevilla and was voted as the best left-back in La Liga after really catching the eye at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Everton are also interested in the 23 year old left-back and are believed to have submitted an £18 million bid for him last week.

Reguilon reportedly has doubts about joining Everton as he could play second fiddle to Frenchman Lucas Digne at Goodison Park.

Joining Chelsea reportedly appeals more to him as he has better chances of making the left-back position his own as Frank Lampard isn’t convinced with the options he currently has at Chelsea.

In other news, report also claims the left-back has agree personal terms with the Blues!
