REPORT: Chelsea handed chance to sign Barcelona playmaker for £63.2m

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to entertain offers in the region of €70m (£63.23m) for Philippe Coutinho.

Despite posting solid returns at the Spanish champions and during a loan spell at Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, neither team want the Brazilian on their books next campaign.

That has left the Catalan club desperately in search of a buyer before the end of June 30.

According to Diario Sport, the latest stance of the La Liga outfit has increased the chances of a transfer to the Premier League.

Although each team would prefer a loan agreement, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Chelsea are believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Chelsea are missing creativity in the midfield area and Coutinho who has been one of the best if both the best performer at Liverpool during his time at Anfield could be a peace that Frank Lampard’s side are missing in order to compete for all possible trophies.

Hakyim Zyech and Timo Werner will join the Blues next month with a left-back on the verge to follow the new signings.
