Report: Chelsea ready to let ‘TWO’ more players to follow Tomori this January

According to Nizaar Kinsella, a reliable source of transfer information for Chelsea, the Blues are looking to offload some fringe players this January.

However, Fikayo Tomori is the most likely departure with AC Milan wanting to sign the centre-back – a few Premier League clubs are also interested in the youngster.

Newcastle and Leeds are 2 clubs who want to sign the 23-year-old but they’d prefer an initial loan deal – Milan, on the other hand, want to sign Tomori on a permanent deal.
The young defender is ‘increasingly likely’ to leave, while Antonio Rudiger will stay on as the 4th-choice centre-back.

Chelsea are also reportedly open to letting Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcos Alonso leave the club. However, their high salaries can prove to be a stumbling block.

The report adds that Chelsea want to offload their ‘high-earning fringe players’ but that has proved to be difficult thanks to the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
