REPORT: Chelsea to sell these 6 ‘deadwood players’ to help fund incoming deals this summer

The Blues have already confirmed the new signings of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this summer, and they are already Chelsea players since July 1.

However, Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen is the most high profile talked about pursuit that Chelsea are looking to make, and The Telegraph reports that Chelsea are set to make a bid for him at any moment now.

The report also hints at the potential pursuit of a new goalkeeper, and Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.

But they will need to support all this investment by clearing some current players and raising more funds.

The Daily Express has named 6 players who they claim that Chelsea will be looking to sell this summer.

They are Michy Batshuayi, Kenedy, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso, and Danny Drinkwater.

Only three of these players are currently in Chelsea’s first team squad though, the rest are out on loan. Depending on who else Chelsea sign, they may need to look at clearing out even more than those mentioned here.
