Chelsea to submit £60million transfer bid for N’Golo Kante longterm replacement in January

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly sees West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as a longterm replacement for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea will submit a £60million bid for the West Ham midfielder in January.

The Blues are hoping to offload some fringe players in January to raise funds for the transfer of Rice.

Rice last extended his contract with West Ham in December 2018 and is tied down at the London Stadium until 2024, with the option for another year.

The defensive midfielder, who can also play in central defence, has scored three goals in 117 appearances for the Irons.
