Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be considering which players he will be looking to keep in the squad going into next season, and which players could soon be seeing the Stamford Bridge exit door.
One player that is often linked to leaving the club is Italian international Jorginho.
Many of the links stem from the fact that his former Napoli and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri likes him so much, and he now wants him to join him at Juventus, according to the Daily Star citing Sport Mediaset.
The Italian publication claim that Jorginho ‘is always at the top of Sarri’s list’, which again reiterates his desire to own the player once again.
Jorginho is Sarri’s ‘first choice‘, and the Juventus boss believes he would be ‘ideal’ in his midfield.
But will Chelsea sell? That is a different question altogether. You would feel that under the current circumstances Frank Lampard will be keen to keep all of his squad and he does rate his vice-captain. So it feels hugely unlikely that he would sell, but it would all depend on whether the Italian would want to stay or if he asks to leave.
Lampard won’t keep a player in the squad that doesn’t want to be there, just look at David Luiz as an example of that.
