According to The Sun, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes he can West Ham midfielder Declan Rice for £45 million this summer.
Lampard is reportedly desperate for someone to come into the heart of Chelsea’s defence and help drive a challenge for the Premier League title next season.
It is believed Lampard sees Rice as that player and intends to shift him from the holding midfield position he currently plays in at West Ham back to his natural home in the centre of defence.
Rice left Chelsea for West Ham and is open to re-joining the Blues as it gives him a chance to play alongside his pal Mason Mount.
