REPORTS: Roman Abramovich willing to spend €130m on 3 La Liga players for Tuchel Chelsea squad

Following recent Chelsea’s poor run, The Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to strengthen the squad to ensure the Blues challenge for the title next season.

However, according to reports in Spain, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to splash the cash on three Barcelona players as he seeks to strengthen Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

Spain media outlet El Nacional claims Chelsea are interested in signing three Barça players in the form of Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, and Sergino Dest.

The report also adds that Chelsea owner Abramovich is ready to shell out an eye-watering €130 million for the three Barcelona players.

De Jong is no longer a guaranteed starter in Barcelona and the Spanish side is reportedly open to selling the Dutch midfielder for the right fee.

Tuchel has reportedly given the greenlight for the Blues to sign De Jong and the Blues are ready to offer €60million for the midfielder.

Currently, Chelsea have N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and Kovacic in their ranks to cover two midfield spots, but the three of them have barely been fit at the same time.

Gavi has become an important player for Barcelona but his contract, which has a release clause of €50million, expires in 2023. The Blues are ready to pay his release clause and offer him a higher salary than Barcelona.

The Blues are also reportedly open to offering €20million for Barcelona full-back Dest, a right-back who can also play at left-back.

The American international has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona under Xavi and is open to leaving the Spanish side.
