Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is preparing ‘a farewell with magnificence’ for Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta. This is according to Spanish media outlet El Nacional via Metro.
Azpilicueta’s contract expires at the end of the season and the Blues are yet to begin talks over a new contract.
El Nacional claim Spanish side Barcelona are already in advanced talks with Azpilicueta aa regards signing the defender as a free agent at the end of the season.
The 32 year old joined Chelsea in 2012 and has won two Premier League titles, as well as a Champions League, an FA Cup and two Europa Leagues during his time at the club.
