RESPECT! See what Cesar Azpilicueta did to Tuchel and his assistants after Club World Cup glory

Chelsea defeated the Palmeiras side 2-1 in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, and the game could have been taken to penalties until Kai Havertz struck home from a 116th minute penalty.

However, the Chelsea players went into wild celebration to have won the game and it was the first time Chelsea would win the trophy, having lost the final in 2012 to another Brazilian side, Corinthians.

Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta proved why he’s captain again, after the players were celebrating with the trophy.

Thomas Tuchel and other staff members like Zsolt Low had initially stood away from Chelsea players celebrating their Club World Cup win. The Blues were getting ready for a photoshoot when Azpilicueta noticed they were far off, and he beckoned them to come over, which they did.

Furthermore, Liam Twomey was also very much impressed with the skipper’s action when he took the ball after Chelsea was awarded the late penalty, and he pretended to be the taker.

“Very clever captain’s play by Azpilicueta,” Twomey wrote on Twitter.

“Held onto the ball and made Palmeiras think he was the pen taker, absorbed all their attempts to delay and get in his head, then gave the ball to Havertz.”
