Return date for Chelsea fans to Stamford Bridge finally confirmed!
According to reports, Limited numbers of fans could be allowed back into Stamford Bridge within two weeks after London was placed in the “Tier 2” category of coronavirus restrictions.
Fans can return to sporting events in limited numbers from the 2nd of December following an announcement by the British government this week.
Tier 1 areas can have up to 4,000 fans, wheras Tier 2 – including London – can have up to 2,000.
All being well therefore, Chelsea’s home game against Leeds on the 5th can be attended by a lucky group of supporters.
TalkSport confirmed the information on their website, along with information about every other Premier League team.
A limited number of fans were in attendance at Chelsea’s preseason friendly with Brighton back in August – but a surge in cases since then has left that as an isolated experiment until now.
We just can’t wait to see that stadium full again – and a big game against Leeds would be the perfect chance.
