Real Madrid have joined Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and United in registering an interest for Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz, who is regarded as Germany’s best young talent since Michael Ballack.
Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of the 20 year old and some reports even claim the Blues have offered the youngster a contract.
According to The Sun, Chelsea are confident of beating Real Madrid to the signing of Havertz due to his preference of playing in the Premier League.
Bayern were previously touted as his most likely destination, but the report states that Havertz is keen on a move to an English club over remaining in Germany.
Leverkusen have insisted they do not want to sell their prized-asset but understand it will be difficult to keep the midfielder with some of Europe’s best clubs interested in the 20 year old.
